‘Arrow’ season 5: Stephen Amell teases ‘triple’ roles, reads 100th episode

While there are no major “Arrow” episodes in terms of casting or official synopses to share today, we have a couple of Twitter teases today that definitely have us excited.

1. Multiple Oliver Queens? – Recently, Stephen Amell posted a (rather funny) gif featuring Jensen Ackles in reference to getting to play three different versions of Oliver recently. What could these versions be? Obviously, you’ve got present-day Oliver to consider, who is now the Mayor of Star City. Then, maybe you have the Oliver Queen from the past, or a Flashpoint Oliver thrown in there at some point. Given how many possibilities there are out there for what this other version could be, this is one of those times in which we can say “the possibilities are limitless” without it feeling cliche or inauthentic in any way.

2. The 100th episode script – While there have certainly been rumors aplenty regarding what this episode could be, nothing is altogether confirmed just yet. (We do think some of the stuff rumored out there about it being more about Supergirl / other characters is being blown out of the water slightly.) What we know is that Stephen has seen the script, and he’s more than grateful for the opportunity to keep playing this part and get to this point.

We’ll start to see where the story on “Arrow” is going when it premieres in early October; of course, we’ll have some further news before then, so our advice is to stay tuned and continue to be on the lookout.
