‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 18 promo all about drama, legacy (video)
It’s amazing to think that we are moving into season 18 of “Law & Order: SVU,” given that there have been some times in which it has felt like the series has really blown by. When you are watching compelling TV, sometimes an hour can go by in a handful of minutes, and that is probably what has happened here through recent years.
Now, we’re getting set to start off another season once more, and the preview below seems mostly intent on showing you that some intense times are ahead. Not only that, at the same exact time it reminds you that this is the longest-running scripted drama on television. It’s a show that has obviously entertained audiences, but at the same time done great work in order to raise awareness for causes and stopping horrible crimes around the country.
For the most part, specifics have not been made clear on the upcoming season, though we do know that Vice President Joe Biden is going to make an appearance at some point. He and Mariska Hargitay have collaborated to date on a number of causes in an effort to help victims of domestic violence.
Meanwhile, the premiere on September 21 is going to feature a case that puts in some way Benson and Barba at odds. We figure that more details will made available as we get a little bit closer to the episodes airing. Be on the lookout!
