2016 Emmys: Michael Weatherly, Priyanka Chopra, Larry David among first presenters
While we’re going to get into a series of articles over the coming days discussing the favorites for particular Emmy categories, we thought we’d go ahead today and clue you in on something else entirely: Some of the first presenters!
The following names are going to all be taking part in the big ABC telecast on September 18, and hopefully bringing some good entertainment to go along with it: Anthony Anderson (Emmy nominee, “black-ish”), Aziz Ansari (Emmy nominee, “Master of None”), Kristen Bell (“The Good Place”), Julie Bowen (“Modern Family”), Priyanka Chopra (“Quantico”), James Corden (Emmy nominee, “The Late Late Show”), Larry David (Emmy nominee, “Saturday Night Live”), Taraji P. Henson (Emmy nominee, “Empire”), Randall Park (“Fresh Off the Boat”), Andy Samberg (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), Liev Schreiber (Emmy nominee, “Ray Donovan”), and Michael Weatherly (“Bull”). For those wondering, it is typical for there to be stars of new shows mixed in with familiar ones, especially when you’re talking about shows like “Bull” and “The Good Place,” which are both expected to be hits.
As a whole, we’d consider this to be as wonderful of an assembly of TV stars as you’re going to find for this show. Jimmy Kimmel will host the broadcast, and we imagine with that will come a rather good skewering of many people in attendance.
For those out there who do think that this is a rather small list, rest assured that more than likely some other names will be coming. Hopefully, it’ll be once again a mixture of all genres.
