‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ brings over ‘Parks and Recreation’ alum Jim O’Heir
Now that “Parks and Recreation” is off the air over on NBC, we are certainly all for “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” continuing to find some unique ways in which to utilize their cast. Our dream of course would be to see almost every member of that cast pop up over here at some point, even though we realize that is pretty unlikely with Amy Poehler doing movies / producing and Aziz Ansari being busy with standup / “Master of None.”
With that being said, we are pleased to report that at least one man of many names is going to be stopping by in Jim O’Heir. Regardless of whatever you called his character on “Parks,” he was thoroughly entertaining and hopefully he will be just as much here.
Per Entertainment Weekly, you can expect to see O’Heir on an upcoming season 4 episode in the role of (fittingly) a cop, but not one that the Nine-Nine runs into while in New York. Instead, he’ll be someone located down where Jake and Holt are at in the witness protection program. Hopefully he’ll add some further levity to what is already a very funny concept, given that Jake and Holt’s back-and-forth is probably only going to escalate when you isolate them from the rest of the group in the way in which the show is plotting.
O’Heir is still only the second series regular from “Parks and Recreation” to make an appearance on the show; previously, we saw Nick Offerman take on the role of an ex of the Holt character. (Offerman’s voice can also be heard at the end of every episode, as many diehard fans of executive producer Mike Schur know.)
