‘The Blacklist’ season 4 spoilers: Where Tom Keen’s story kicks off
The fourth season of “The Blacklist” is going to be premiering on NBC before long, and when the story picks up, you’re going to have a chance to see of course some characters in a particularly precarious position. That includes of course Liz Keen, who was not only kidnapped, but is now seemingly at the mercy of one Alexander Kirk, a man who claims to be her father. We know that Reddington is going to be doing what he can in order to rescue her, but that does not answer another question: What in the world is going on with Tom?
Well, we are happy to have a little bit more information regarding that. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Ryan Eggold makes it clear that Tom won’t be starting off in a good place, but he will be determined to try and get back the life that he was once starting to see for himself:
“I open season 4 locked in a trunk, which is not a good place to be … At the end of season 3, Liz and I got the briefest of glimpses of what it would be like to live that idyllic dream as a family on a beach in Cuba, and then it’s taken away. So having tasted it, the stakes are higher. I don’t think there’s anything that Tom wouldn’t do to get them both back.”
What makes this all the more interesting for Tom is the path that will take him to “The Blacklist: Redemption,” the eight-episode spin-off season premiering at midseason. That show is short enough that he could conceivably have a large role here, but to what extent remains to be seen.
