‘Blue Bloods’ season 7 spoilers: Check out first premiere photo featuring Donnie Wahlberg

The seventh season of “Blue Bloods” is going to begin on CBS later this month, and as you prepare for that, we present you with a sight that may seem a little unfamiliar for the Danny Reagan character: Getting grilled by someone else for a change.

This image is from the premiere episode entitled “The Greater Good,” which is going to revolve in part around Donnie Wahlberg’s character facing heavy scrutiny over the aftermath of the Thomas Wilder case. This is a case that he previously thought was closed after he killed the serial killer, but new evidence may have changed that. Given that we saw that a certain part of his motivation to kill Wilder was revenge, there was always a reasonable chance that this would come back to bite him. Now, he’s in a position where it could easily be the case.

Given that Danny being a part of the force is an integral part of the show, we cannot see that changing; yet, at the same exact time, we’d be okay if this does something to shake up the formula for a few episodes.

As for what else you can see in the premiere, Lori Loughlin (“Fuller House”) will guest-star as a mother who tries to use Frank in order to convince her son not to become a police officer. Given that we are in an era where anti-police sentiment is strong, we presume that tackling this sentiment will be a theme for a certain percentage of this season.
