‘Chicago PD’ season 4 spoilers: Voight’s the target in latest promo

If you watched the “Chicago PD” season 3 finale (and hopefully you have, if you’re reading this article), you should have a pretty good idea already of the harrowing way in which it ended. after all, it’s pretty darn hard to not have some of those closing images of Voight burying Justin’s supposed killer ingrained in your memory.

The latest promo below from the show’s official Facebook page hypes up the dilemma further that Voight, and by association Lindsay, finds himself in. He is the person who committed the act, and she is the only person who knows something about it. Does she feel a certain degree of loyalty to him? We have to imagine so, just because of everything that he has helped her get through over the years.

Yet, at the same exact time there’s a rather enormous difference between feeling some sort of loyalty to someone, and then also at the same exact time knowing when this said loyalty could potentially decimate your own life. She cannot afford to take the fall for his actions, but she may need some help making that decision. That is where Halstead comes into play.

Ultimately, here is the big dilemma that we see with this story. Having Voight get away from this without any sort of consequence would make it seem as though his actions were justified, and that doesn’t quite seem right. Yet, at the same time locking the character away for good deprives the majority of viewers of someone they like. There is really no easy solution to this problem.
