‘Power’ season 3, episode 8 preview: Our hopes for Ghost, Tasha, Angela in ‘Trust Me’
Sunday night’s new episode of “Power” was one that we like to consider a building-block episode, mostly in how it gave us some stories that we know are going to pick up some momentum and expand as we go further and further into the coming days.
Specifically, the main event of these stories has to be the situation at present with Ghost and Angela, given that we could end up seeing arrests across the board if the true information about Lobos is not revealed. While we’re not entirely sure he wants to come clean to her (he always likes to think that he is “protecting” her by not giving her all of the information), at the same time we do envision a situation where he offers up some other solution to the problem. This is a guy who does have a knack for getting out of tricky situations, and he’s certainly capable of being creative as he strives to do so again here. Help Angela without having to get her in any trouble. It’s certainly easier said than done.
As for Ghost’s family being potential targets of Milan, that may be even more complicated. What he needs to do is find a way to either divert him or take him out without looking like the responsible party. This is different than Kanan given the long line of people who could simply take Milan’s place. Therefore, Ghost has to figure out a way to satisfy or deceive so that he’s not a target down the line.
We suppose that based on these answers, what we want to see more than anything else is some smart scheming. “Power” is best when its characters have on their thinking caps, and are trying to figure out solutions to problems that work even at times it doesn’t look like they will.
