‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 13 video: ‘Girl Meets the Great Lady of New York’

Girl Meets World -When “Girl Meets World” returns to the Disney Channel on Friday, September 16 with new episodes, it will be doing so with one of the longest episode titles produced to date: “Girl Meets the Great Lady of New York.” Of course, we’d like to know all about what to expect over the course of the half-hour, but for now all we’ve got is the new promo below to go on.

When we first heard the title, we wondered if this was some sort of nickname for the Statue of Liberty; as someone who is not a New Yorker, we’re not entirely sure what the statue is called in particular. The promo below does lend a little bit of credence to the idea, since we seem to be getting an episode celebrating cultural heritage. The Statue of Liberty, for many, is a symbol of new beginnings and a fresh start in America after moving from other parts of the world.

There are clearly some funny moments in this promo, including Maya thinking that bagpipes are representative of Irish people (they’re actually Scottish) and Zay and Lucas showing off their Texan pride — even though, lest we forget, they are still a part of the United States. Given that we grew up in Texas, we do know where they are coming from here.

There’s not really a whole lot else to gleam from this promo for now, so we shall leave you with this instead: As someone who has seen someone try to perform with a set of bagpipes, it is a lot harder that it looks.
