‘Major Crimes’ season 5 spoilers: More news as the ‘White Lies’ arc continues
There are some cases that any member of the police force will be rattled by. Maybe it is one that is particularly violent, relates to their own story, or involves someone they care about. No matter the reason, it is one that shakes you to your core.
For Sharon Raydor on “Major Crimes,” we could be approaching one of those cases in the upcoming “White Lies” arc, which is a three-part series that will be starting up on September 5 with the first part. You can head over here to read more about the beginnings of this case, but here’s the short version: while looking to resolve some loose ends from a recent case (one involving a number of White Supremacists), the detectives in the division face an incredibly dangerous case that comes about through the audit of serial killer Dwight Darnell. His trial proves problematic, and by the end of it, one character in particular in Dr. Joe (Rusty’s psychiatrist) will face mortal danger.
Now, take a look at the first teaser for part 2, courtesy of SpoilerTV — whatever happens during the first part is clearly going to have a horrific impact on the entire team, but Sharon more so than anyone else:
“The Major Crimes unit continues to investigate the conspiracy behind Dwight Darnell’s murders and his links to the Zyklon-Brotherhood. Sharon Raydor, disturbed by her own reactions to the case, seeks penance in the Ritual of Confession.”
The third part of this story hopefully will resolve any further story, given that after that, we’re going to be sending the show off until the sunset for a while. There is no confirmed return date at present.
Before we do get around to “White Lies,” there is one more episode of the show that we have to get through. For some further insight on that, just be sure to head over to the link here! Also, sign up to book further TV news on all we cover via our official CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: TNT.)

Just hoping that Sharon will really AND FINALLY start to have a bigger space and some focus. For sure she deserves it so much, such a GREAT character.

Good thinking, there! So far, in this season her character has been a little wasted. – Let’s hope there will come something substantial for her before the summer part of the season ends. It’s high time!

Yes, I know right? It makes me SO sad. I can’t believe how can they waste a character like her… so strong, so amazing, so interesting and with A BUNCH of potential incredible storylines. This season is not being that good for me so far… tonight’s episode was very good, I hope they will start to heat the season up WITH SHARON from now on.

At least it looks promising, judging from this week’s episode. She is obviously affected by this case and I think they will dig deeper into the white supremacy snake pit over the concluding three episodes. I am really looking forward to that!

Part of me can’t wait for this 3 parter, but part of me is really bummed. My “no one is even a close competitor” show will be back on hiatus and Mondays and television will suck again. This season is flying by.
Jonathan del Arco did post a video that he was done shooting until October, so the guess is that the new shows will be after the new year. Hence, no Christmas show AGAIN. Thanks TNT.
On that note, yet again, here we are still waiting for renewal notice. In reviewing a number of articles written on Reilly/ the misdirected path of TNT, the inner business child is saying there is some bigger stuff coming up for MC since the flop of Animal Kingdom (no matter how Reilly tries to spin it), but would really like that certainty.
