‘The Amazing Race Canada 4’ episode 9 preview: The next Double U-Turn
The first Double U-Turn on “The Amazing Race Canada” this season proved to be rather dramatic, mostly in that Steph & Kristen took a big swing at Jillian & Emmett in hopes of getting them out of the game. That didn’t happen.
Moving into the next episode, we could certainly see a case of attempted turnabout depending on the order in which teams arrive. Given that we’re just coming off of a non-elimination leg, we’re not liable to have another one coming up. In addition to that, we’ve exhausted the entirety of these said legs this season unless there is a four-person finale on the horizon. This one could severely damage someone’s odds of making it all the way to the end.
If there is something that aids every time behind Jillian & Emmett, and in turn hurts them, it is that the teams are heading to Cape Breton in Nova Scotia following a leg in Cuba. Odds are, there’s going to be a huge equalizer that puts everyone on level footing.
Going into this, the team more than likely in the most danger is Rita & Yvette, given that they have a Speed Bump to complete. Then again, consider this: They may not be construed as threatening. The only danger they run into is if the Speed Bump takes place before the U-Turn, they could get plastered up there by a desperate team hoping to ensure their own safety in the race.
Given that this leg contains everything from barrel-rolling into cannons, we’re sure to be in for a good time. We find it especially funny that the show really loves putting people into period clothing this season. The last time we were in Canada, we were seeing impersonations of Sir John A. MacDonald.
