‘Big Brother 18’ live feed spoilers: Did James ruin the Paul / Victor plan?

As entertaining as it was to watch Victor and Paul fight for their lives in the “Big Brother” house last night, we always assumed that their plan to appear separated in the house was not going to work. After all, just remember for a minute that we have James in the house, and he is often the wet blanket in terms of exciting plans working out.

To be fair, James wanting to evict Victor over Corey actually is the right move strategically, since Victor and Paul are playing everyone in utterly ridiculous fashion. He plans on telling Vic this morning, at least per the feeds last night, that he is sending him out. Still, what James is doing at this point should be totally transparent to other players: He’s choosing to tell people so that he is the one who comes across as likable so that they all want to reward him at the end of the game.

We do still think that Michelle and Natalie would prefer in some ways to evict Corey; after all, even if the whole Victor and Paul stunt is just that, they have to be aware that Paul probably would want to work with Nicole and Corey if his alliance-mate is gone. Separating those three could be more important.

We’ll see if anything changes things up today, but we doubt it. For now, the best thing that we can do is applaud Victor and Paul for really fighting their butts off this week and throwing almost everything at the wall. Not every move they made was smart (especially over the weekend and right before Veto), but we’ll prefer this to Paulie whining and crying any day.
