To say that Tuesday night’s new episode of “Dead of Summer” was intense would be a little bit of an understatement. After all, we learned over the course of it that Amy has been the Big Bad all along, and she’s committed a series of brutal murders that could be likely to continue as we enter the finale. After all, do you think that the finale is going to suddenly end on a happy note? You’re only there is the closing minutes if a few people manage to escape alive.
The preview below for the finale should very well from you out; in some ways, the synopsis should also do the same:
“What was supposed to be a fun summer that the Camp Stillwater counselors would never forget quickly turned into a horrible experience they will be lucky to survive. As summer comes to a close, the centuries-old battle between good and evil at Lake Stillwater will be settled once and for all.”
Now as for the subject of if season 1 is the only season of the show we’re going to get, that’s up for debate. All executive producer Adam Horowitz would say to TVLine is that the stories from this season will seemingly be tied up:
“I’d say the finale wraps up the story of Season 1 and hopefully satisfies the audience in answering all of the questions we set up for this season’s story, while acknowledging that there’s a bigger story at play that hopefully we go to on and tell more stories from Camp Stillwater throughout the years. The approach of this series is that each series would be a different summer at the camp in a different era.”
