‘Chicago Med’ season 2 spoilers: ‘90210’ alum set to play Dr. Charles’ daughter

The second season of “Chicago Med” is coming to NBC this fall, and the producers are coming up with some interesting new additions to the world. It’s an opportunity to expand the family of one of the show’s main characters, while at the same time giving a new love interest to someone else. Who wouldn’t want to dive in to some of these new ideas? In a world as dramatic as this one, you just never know what twists and turns a role can take and that’s got to be intriguing to any actor.

Anyhow, here’s what we know for now. Per TVLine, “90210” alum Mekia Cox is going to have a major role coming up as Robin, the daughter of Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) and someone who is rather accomplished in her own right as an epidemiologist who is brought in to help with a difficult case. She first turns up in episode 4, and at some point down the road, she could end up becoming a love interest for Dr. Connor Rhoades (Colin Donnell).

While it may be a little early to offer up a definitive opinion on this character, we’re certainly excited to see any new angle that the show explores with its characters. Of course, romances are always complicated on this show, and the same goes for parent – child relationships. After all, the report notes that Robin does not necessarily have the best relationship with her father (which could in turn explain why we haven’t seen her until now).
