‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: Human Target gets an episode in his name
If you weren’t excited enough about seeing Human Target on “Arrow” season 5 already, we now bring you this: Proof that the entire fifth episode of the season will be about him in some way!
In a post on Twitter, executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed that “Human Target” will be the title of the upcoming fifth episode of the season. We speculated before that the show may be trying to emulate something with this episode that they did back in season 4: Bringing in another iconic DC character and allowing them to cross paths with Oliver Queen. Last season, it was John Constantine. This time around, it could be Christopher Chance.
Chance’s skill as the aforementioned character is that he takes on the identity of people who are targeted by assassins, and uses that in order to lull his own target into a false sense of security. On “Arrow” this season, that said identity could be that of Star City Mayor Oliver Queen.
We certainly expect this episode to be an interesting one, and not just because we like the idea of the Human Target character being in this universe. It just feels like they are a good natural fit for the story that is already in place. When you think about the state of things in Star City, there are many people who would want to kill Oliver, and it doesn’t necessarily have to do with the fact that he is also the Green Arrow. Being a politician just makes life that much more dangerous for you.
