‘Gotham’ season 3 spoilers: Meet the Mad Hatter’s sister

All signs point to there being a heck of a lot going on during the first few episodes of “Gotham” season 3, but one of the most interesting new additions in our mind is none other than Jervis Tetch a.k.a. the Mad Hatter. Benedict Samuel is the man behind the role, and the show’s interpretation of the Batman villain should be interesting given that he has a very specific motivation for doing what he does: Belief.

According to Variety, actress Naian Gonzalez Norvind has been cast to play the role of Alice on the show, Tetch’s sister and a woman who relates very closely to his mission statement. She was born with a unique ability, something that makes her different from almost everyone else on earth. Jervis believes that this is a gift, and he is desperate to track her down in order for her to unleash that said power upon the rest of the world.

As for Alice, let’s just say that she does not exactly share in this philosophy. She has spent the majority of her time trying to run from her brother, and views her ability in a much more negative matter. She’ll be turning up for the first time in the upcoming third episode of the season, so we’ll see just how often she shows up after that.

While the Mad Hatter is out there, we cannot imagine that Jim Gordon is going to be able to focus that much of his energy on him. After all, he also has to think about the likes of Poison Ivy with advanced abilities and also all of Hugo Strange’s former patients.
