‘Teen Wolf’ season 6 premiere: What should happen
While you may be waiting for some time to see the “Teen Wolf” premiere on MTV later this fall, we’re hopefully going to have a story that is full of twist and turns and very much worth your while. After all, this is the final season of the show, and there’s nothing left to do now other than look towards the horizon and wonder how in the world Scott McCall can ever have a safe future with so many threats lingering out in the world.
For this edition of our ongoing What Should Happen series, we’re taking a little more of a step back here to focus on what we think is a little bit simpler a question: How do we start things off? What’s the best way for the story to get going in the premiere? We have a few suggestions…
Where we left off – The Beast of Gevaudan proved to be a worthy / terrifying adversary, but eventually he did meet defeat and our favorites from Beacon Hills were able to move on. (Heck, even Theo was pulled in the abyss.) However, we saw in the closing seconds that there could be a new villain with Nazi ties that pops up soon, and that the peace Scott feels right now could be relatively short-lived.
What should happen – The show is obviously going to have to deal first and foremost with the departure of Arden Cho as Kira, who will not be returning. We do want to see at least a happy beginning for the characters before we descend into chaos; in particular, we want to see Lydia happy and feeling good because she really went through hell for most of season 6.
As soon as everyone is starting to feel like they are out of the woods, that’s where you surprise them once more. Don’t feel the need to rush all of the new villains entering the world; focus on the characters we know now, and let it be a slow burn. Also, tell a story this time that is a little more linear. Last season was a little chaotic in that respect.

Your asking the impossible, that what happens in Teen Wolf makes sense, shows logical progression is a complete story arc and has actual continuity! Why should season 6 be less of a mess than seasons before it?
