‘Chicago PD’ season 4 spoilers: Another step forward for Lindsay, Halstead

If you consider yourself a ‘shipper of all things Linstead, rest assured that you’re in for some good news on “Chicago PD” coming up in season 4: The characters are taking the next step together! Specifically, it appears that they’ll be sharing the same place.

TV Guide reports that the couple will be moving in together, which is a great thing given that Lindsay is going to need some support from Halstead given everything that transpired in the finale, where Voight seemingly killed a man he deemed responsible for his son’s death. Executive producer Matt Olmstead also teased to the site that Commander Crowley will be starting an investigation that could cause a “seismic shift in the relationship between Lindsay, Voight, and by extension, Halstead.” This investigation could involve Lindsay, but Crowley specifically does have his eye on Voight in the end.

When you consider the super-serious nature of what we’re talking about here, it’s hard to imagine that Voight’s actions in the finale are going to disappear anytime soon. As a matter of fact, we’d be shocked if they weren’t some sort of major component in things that are coming up both this coming season and beyond. As we’ve said, the trouble for Sophia Bush’s character is that it could radically change her opinion on someone she considered to be a father figure and a mentor; while she knew he was capable of these sort of things, there may have been a part of her that concerned some of his most extreme vigilante actions to be a thing of the past.
