‘Doctor Who’ season 10: Jenna Coleman on expectations (or lack thereof) for Pearl Mackie’s Bill
Apparently, being a former companion on “Doctor Who” does not necessarily mean that you are given a golden ticket to get information on future seasons — maybe you could find out a few details if you really wanted to, but at the same exact time nobody is going to call you out of the blue and give you a lot of information on what’s going on.
With that in mind, let’s turn to the latest comments that Jenna Coleman made to the Radio Times. The actress is starting to kick off a promotional tour for her upcoming “Victoria,” and made the following statement about what she’s been told in terms of the new season and Pearl Mackie, who is coming on board the series in the role of new companion Bill:
“I’ve no idea [what to expect with Bill], which is what’s really exciting … I spoke to Peter today and I know they’re shooting the new series, but I know nothing!”
Ultimately, Coleman may wait to find out with the rest of us early next year when the series premieres on BBC One. We’re looking forward very much to seeing what the new season will contain, and how this will continue to test our own personal expectations for what this series can be. With every Companion in turn come further opportunities to explore new themes and different worlds.
Once there are some more specifics to report on when it comes to Coleman and the show’s future, rest assured that we will have those updates for you here.
