‘The Flash’ season 3 spoilers: Making a ‘Monster’
Unlike its counterpart on The CW in “Arrow,” “The Flash” does not always opt to release their episode titles in advance. Therefore, we’re pleased to get just about every one that we can.
In the post below on Twitter, star Grant Gustin made it clear that “Monster” will be the title of the fifth episode of the season. This is one that is being written by Zack Stentz, who also penned last year’s Kevin Smith-directed episode “The Runaway Dinosaur.” Ken Miles is set to direct.
While it may be a little early still to get into specifics as to what is coming up over the course of this episode, there are a few things that we can probably expect to see. For one, we know that many of the first episodes this season are going to be about the evolution of the Mirror Master character as a villain. He’s someone who is not necessarily a Big Bad, but it does feel like we’ll be seeing a lot of him over time. Also, we’re getting to meet some other villains such as The Top and Magenta along the way to add a little more of a female presence to the Rogues.
Down the line, we know that we’re going to be seeing Doctor Alchemy and Savitar take on more of a larger role on the show, but given just how mysterious their castings are at the moment, we’re wondering if this is almost a season 2 situation where the show will take a long time before getting to that reveal thanks to everything else that they have going on.
