‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7 spoilers: Summer finale romance scoop!

Are you ready for the summer finale of “Pretty Little Liars“? “Ready” may not be the right word for it, given that we’re not entirely sure we will ever be ready for an episode that could contain everything from possible character-death to further answers. After all, just because you get more information does not quite mean that you’re ready to hear it!

What we’ve got for you below now is the latest quote from executive producer Marlene King (per Entertainment Weekly), which could give you a sense that there is at least optimism for those of you out there who watch the show for the romance more so than anything else:

“There are three sets of shippers that will be very happy with this finale.”

Sure, there are really dozens of ‘ships that are out there for people to theoretically follow with this show, but we consider there to be three main ones: Aria and Ezra (who are technically engaged, though the Nicole of it all does throw a wrench into things), Hanna and Caleb, Spencer and Toby, and Emily and Alison. Hopefully, the three King is referring to are somewhere among this list. We do ultimately imagine that there will be happy endings for many characters romantically by the end of this — why put them through a good seven seasons worth of torment if you were just going to continue to kick them while they’re down at the tail end of it?

Remember, even those who are not together will get another chance, given that there is at least another half a season still to come.
