‘American Horror Story’ season 6 teaser: See no evil, eat no evil

AHS -

We’ve heard before the expression “mind’s eye,” but mouth’s eye? That’s something that’s a little new, even to us. It also happens to be the focus of the latest “American Horror Story” teaser via FX.

If you look below (via Entertainment Weekly), you can see what is the latest creepy thing that the network is doing to promote the series. We cannot call it “footage” or even really a preview, given that odds are there aren’t going to be any mouths with eyes in them on the show itself.

Is this scary? Not really, but it’s been a long time since there was ever any real “horror” in “American Horror Story” in the first place. Maybe go back to season 1 or a few moments here or there in “Asylum.” We think personally that “American Creepy Story” is a more applicable name, though it doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.

Given the rate in which teasers are being released at this point, we are starting to get the sense that this is just what the network’s going to do at this point: We’re going to be getting at least a couple of teasers (if not more) a week until we inevitably roll around to the point in which the show is about to come out. Then, maybe someone will give us a little bit of relevant footage, without actually giving the theme away since this is clearly the way that FX and the producers are getting their druthers this year. Either they have a really awesome theme this time and they want it to be a surprise, or they’re afraid that it’s not so easy to explain until people sit down and actually watch the show.

As we referenced, there have been plenty of other teasers released so far this week. You can take a look at one of them by heading over to this link! Also, sign up over here to score some additional TV news on everything we cover via our official CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: FX.)
