‘Bachelor in Paradise 3’ spoilers: Are Jade Roper, Tanner Tolbert making return appearance?

JadeThere seems to be a tradition forming on “Bachelor in Paradise” in terms of couples from past seasons turning up. After all, season 2 had a return appearance from Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul … though the less we say about that is probably for the better.

Luckily, season 2 proved to be much more successful in the end given that Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert are already married, and seem to have laid the foundation for a great life together since the show. While it’s not 100% confirmed that the two are turning up, the synopsis below for Tuesday’s episode certainly seems to be suggesting some sort of return appearance:

“[The] cast is reenergized when a popular couple appears, helping to reaffirm everyone’s belief in how Paradise can lead to love. The pair brings with them a date card and the opportunity for one couple to follow their path to love from the previous season. The couples sit down with the husband and wife, hoping to impress and obtain a romantic date, but some relationships are strained as doubts arise for two couples, forcing them to have difficult conversations later in the day…”

Given that there are no other married couples from Paradise out there, we don’t exactly know how this could be referring to anyone else … unless of course there’s a secret legion of former contestants having fake weddings for the sake of surprising America down the road.

As for what Jade and Tanner are going to be up to on the show, feels almost like an odd combination of “The Newlywed Game” and some sort of odd job interview where the current couples have to convince them that they’re worthy of a date. It’s still a little early in the season for a proposal, but maybe this is meant to be seen as a stepping stone. If nothing else, we’re mostly happy to have it because it will give us some interesting TV at a time in the season where things start to get a little stale. (For us, the sweet-spot in Paradise is the first few weeks of the show.)

If you missed it, it turns out there’s a reason why Chris Harrison is not hosting “After Paradise.” You can find out more on that subject over here, or sign up over at this link to get some other TV news on all we cover via our official CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: ABC.)
