‘American Horror Story’ season 6 teaser: Everything is connected

AHS -

If you’re scratching your head at the title for this “American Horror Story” article, consider this: “Everything is connected” is the slogan we’ve used for the past two seasons that we’ve podcasted the show. It’s one of the franchise’s many absurd things. There was a time in which we were convinced that the show was going for a legitimate anthology were the stories were separate and not so much linked; now, it’s a situation where we feel producers are really trying to throw them all into the same exact pool.

We’re not going to lie: As much as we have become rather frustrated over time with some of the creative decisions being made on the show itself, this promo is rather cool. It blends together the key art from each of the first five seasons of the show before eventually descending into the madness and the creative confusion of season 6, which FX is still keeping under a heavy lock and key.

Are we meant to take this as a sign that Ryan Murphy is turning season 6 into a Frankenstein’s monster of various seasons? We wouldn’t say that, and that’s certainly a good thing since we never want to be reminded of “Hotel” ever again. This is more of the show’s evolutionary ladder, and how each one of these series has been uniquely presented in its own way from the very onset. It makes us all the more intrigued to see the season 6 plan, even if simultaneously we still hold some concern over whether we’re dipping back into the old well or coming up with something new.

Season 6, for better or worse, premieres on September 14. Brace yourselves accordingly.
