‘Blindspot’ season 2 photo: Catch a glimpse of Archie Panjabi

With the second season of “Blindspot” premiering on NBC later this fall, there are a wide array of reasons for excitement. Having Archie Panjabi in the has to top the list.

The former “Good Wife” star is slated to have a major role coming up as the leader of a secret division of the NSA, one who has been carefully monitoring the situation of Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) from afar over the course of the first season. What she wants, and what she is willing to do to get it, should be perceived as the primary mysteries for this character as we move the story onward.

Now, we also have a first-look photo of the actress below courtesy of TVLine, and it certainly does appear as though she has a commanding presence. She also has similar boots to the ones Kalinda wore, just in case there are any prospective viewers out there watching for the sake of a “Good Wife” connection. (Don’t get us wrong, we’re still incredibly bitter as to how her departure from season 6 was handled and the whole Alicia fallout — but there’s really nothing more to say about this since the actors are being professional and keeping details behind closed doors.)

Since wrapping her time as Kalinda, Panjabi has appeared in an arc on “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” over at Fox. Meanwhile, she’s also got a role to come on the final season of “The Fall,” which is an awesome-enough show that it really cannot get here soon enough.
