‘Bachelor in Paradise 3’: Nick Viall shares his side on Amanda Stanton, Josh Murray drama

Nick -This season on “Bachelor in Paradise,” we’re getting a rare case of he said, she said, the other guy said, and also the show said. Everyone’s got their own perspective! We’re talking here on Josh Murray’s relationship with Amanda Stanton, and whether or not Nick Viall effectively gave her permission to pursue him. She suggested such last week, claiming that Nick encouraged her to continue to see other people and that he was waiting for Jen Saviano to turn up.

So what’s Nick take on this? Well, that’s partially correct. Speaking on an AfterBuzz TV show Monday, he presented his side (kudos to Reality TV World for the quotes):

“As far as the Jen stuff, I did tell them at one point that this Jen girl — who you may or may not see in Paradise — was very attractive and I was very interested in meeting her. I never told anyone that I was coming for anyone specifically … I did tell Amanda when we went out [on Paradise]… I was like, ‘Listen, I want to meet Jen. I’m curious about her.’ I was upfront with that, [but] I certainly never told Amanda we should date other people and that I only came for Jen or anything like that.”

So ultimately, Nick’s take on the whole situation is somewhere in between Amanda’s recollection and what the show presented, which was a serious Julius Caesar level of betrayal. Nick was open-minded — he wanted to see Jen, but didn’t want to dismiss Amanda in the process. Given that Amanda and Josh have, according to the inaccurate edit, made out every second since they got together, it all probably worked out as it should anyway. It’s mostly just interesting that Amanda and Josh felt the need to so clearly state their own side of the story in the first place. At this point, shouldn’t everyone know that this serious is edited to death to construct whatever narrative people want?

Really, Amanda and Josh fans should just buckle up for whatever’s going to be coming up, given that we imagine things are going to get SO much worse for them before we start to see the sun peeking out on the other side.
