‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7, episode 9 preview: Is Noel Kahn Uber A?

Next week on “Pretty Little Liars,” we have an episode that in title alone, certainly appeals to the “Star Trek” fan in us. How could it not given that the title is “The Wrath of Kahn”? It’s an exciting penultimate episode of the summer, and in turn it could also get us a single step closer to finally learning who is Uber A in the midst of all of the chaos.

Just in case you haven’t heard much about this episode just yet, the synopsis below does a good job of offering up some details, whether it be the surprising (a team-up between Aria and Jason to learn more about Mary Drake) and also the not-surprising-at-all (bonding sessions between Emily and Paige, since clearly she was brought back with a specific reason in mind):

“One of the PLLs goes rogue to prove that Noel Kahn is Uber A, while the others try to find evidence to back her theory and worry about her emotional state. Emily unexpectedly turns to Paige for comfort in her time of need, which causes tension in her other relationships. Jason and Aria team up to look into Mary’s past and what she might be hiding.”

Of course, we don’t think we’re actually going to learn the truth about Uber A in this episode, mostly because it’s far too early for any of that and the show probably wants to save this for the summer finale or later. Still, it’s nice that we’re getting something substantial for the Noel character before we get to the end of the series; it’s really about time for that.
