‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Galavant’ star gets a little robotic as AIDA

For those of you who are already missing “Galavant,” we’re starting to be rather thrilled with the amount of representation ABC is giving the cast on other shows. First, we heard that Karen David would be coming aboard “Once Upon a Time” as Princess Jasmine. Now, Mallory Jansen has signed up for a particularly intriguing role on the upcoming fourth season of “Agents of SHIELD.”

According to a new report from TVLine, Jansen is transferring over to Madalena to AIDA, otherwise known as the Artificial Intelligence Data Analyser in the comics. We don’t know too much about the role within the realm of the show, but given the various fun examples of artificial intelligence that are out there within the comics world, we think this should prove itself to be a rather worthy addition to the series.

In general, we do love the guest casting that the series is doing leading up to the new season, in between this, Jason O’Mara playing the new Director, Pariminder Nagra as anti-Inhuman politician, and Gabriel Luna as the new Ghost Rider. They are really covering the bases when it comes to interesting characters, and certainly helping us to forget about the notable departures such as Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) and Ward / Hive (Brett Dalton), who were both seemingly killed off at the end of season 3.

The new season premieres a little bit later this fall, and with any luck this will not be the last time that we report on some casting news.
