‘Ink Master’ season 8, episode 4 preview: Double elimination, female alliance gains momentum
Even though we have teams set up on this season of “Ink Master” the structure of the season doesn’t really allow for the teams to want to stick together. This week we saw Dave have to hand out skulls to his own team and take his shots at two of the stronger artists on his own team. We know that at some point the team twist will be dissolved and it will be every artist for themselves, but this early on in the game does it make sense to take out strong artists on your own team? Even so, it seems that if one teams wins on e week, then the next week the other team is automatically up for elimination anyways so where’s the strategy and does it even mean anything if you win?
So what are we in for next week? In the preview we saw Dave Navarro tell the artists that no one is safe this week, so it looks like the artists are facing a double elimination day. It’s not often that you see a double elimination on this show, but this has been a very different season of the show then we have seen before. Anything goes!
The women’s alliance is going to be gaining some more momentum and as we’ve seen in the past, strong alliances can really help a group of artists get to the end. It would be nice to see a female winner on “Ink Master”, we just hope that the game play doesn’t trip up their work. That has been the down fall of alliance members in the past, because it paints a target on themselves when their alliance is obvious.
