Is ‘The Amazing Race Canada’ new tonight on CTV? A way to catch up

Typically on “The Amazing Race Canada,” Tuesday nights mark a chance to check out some new episodes, and see how some of your favorite teams continue to fare on the journey.

However, on Tuesday night we’re going to see some of these said teams take a little bit of time off … at least in terms of TV time. (The reality is that there were very few breaks during filming itself.) CTV has opted to not air a new episode of the series on Tuesday night, and it’s pretty easy to figure out why when you consider the TV landscape. After all, the show is airing against the Olympics, and that is not something that any show, no matter what country you’re located in, wants to deal with on an extreme level.

Instead of a new episode, tonight at 9:00 p.m. Eastern the network is airing a special documenting the top 20 moments so far. It may be fun if you’re a diehard fan of the show interested in reliving some of the best stuff you’ve seen on the series so far. Also, it’s a great way to catch up if you’ve been more of a casual viewer so far this season, and you want to catch up without sitting down and watching several full episodes. You can get your full dose of excitement over the course of a single hour.

The series will be back next week to continue the Race. As of right now we’d consider Steph & Kristen to be the favorites to win based on current placement, but you also cannot rule out Jillian & Emmett given that when they’re firing on all cylinders, there are few teams anywhere near as dangerous.
