‘Zoo’ season 2, episode 9 preview: Mitch versus a mystery animal

Tuesday night’s new episode of “Zoo” is just about here, and within it we’re going to see Mitch take another step in his effort to stop the triple-helix mystery once and for all.

In the sneak peek below, you see him doing his part to assess some bones almost like he is Emily Deschanel on Fox, but there’s one super-clear problem tripping him up: He cannot figure out precisely what the bones represent. This mystery animal has a few things in common with ones he can identify, but the pieces don’t seem to add up. As a result of that, he’s left scrambling and trying to come up with the right needle-in-the-haystack answer.

Based on some of the other previews that have been released, it is certainly possible that the answer here is that we’re looking at a saber-toothed tiger. That’s certainly exciting in some ways, but there is also a rather clear problem at the same exact time: They don’t exactly exist anymore. How is Mitch going to be able to turn things around? Surely this show will have some answers, but more than likely they won’t come quickly.

At the end of this preview, the bones discussion is interrupted by some other news pertaining to Jackson’s mother. more than likely, we are looking at a situation here where they will learn more about her present state, which leads into Jackson making a very important decision that could easily change his life.
