‘Vice Principals’ episode 6 preview: ‘The Foundations of Learning’
On tonight’s new episode of “Vice Principals,” we saw a series of new struggles between Neal Gamby and Lee Russell that led to them bickering for a time, and then coming back together in the closing minutes for a few moments of cooperation. Specifically, they tore Lee’s tormentor neighbor Jackie a new one by knocking him out with brass knuckles.
What’s interesting is that we’re enjoying the show despite it frequently changing gears; we didn’t see Amanda really at all through most of Sunday’s episode, but next week she could be back with a fairly significant role. She’ll make some sort of deal with Gamby. Whatever that is remains to be seen, but we don’t quite think we’re in a spot where his crush on her will turn into much of anything.
Meanwhile, Dr. Brown in this episode is going to get into it with a longtime teacher over some missing books. Once again, that’s hardly the most descriptive teaser for the next episode, but HBO for whatever reason is being rather secretive here. What could be curious is how this ends up telling us more about the Belinda character and her philosophy on discipline. She was extremely hard on Neal when it comes to his treatment of the students, so how does she end up acting when she’s able to take the action into her own hands? We are certainly rather curious to find out.
