‘The Night Of’ episode 7 preview: The State v. Nasir Khan; a defense
Tonight on HBO, “The Night Of” brought a lot of different storylines to the table, both in prison and with Box and Stone on the outside world. What matters most for the sake of this article is where we’re going from here: The trial. We do think that even more time could have been spent on the accumulation of clues that got us to this point, but that is what it is and for the time being, we’ll celebrate the fact that we’ve got such a sensational, layered story from start to finish.
Next week’s new episode is entitled “Ordinary Death,” which is a rather unusual thing to name an episode of a show where what transpired with Naz and Andrea was certainly anything but. In terms of advance details, HBO did not reveal much other than that we are continuing along with the trial of The State of New York v. Nasir Khan. Specifically, we’re going to see the defense portion of the trial.
If you’ve enjoyed the story of John Stone so far this season, we imagine that you will especially appreciate getting to see what he brings to the table here along with Chandra. Will he fight for Naz’s freedom? Probably, but whether or not he is effective is an entirely different story. We do know that he comes armed with a good deal of information moving forward, including some rather valuable knowledge about why Andrea’s stepfather would want to kill her. Thanks to her death, he would get Evelyn’s home and all of the money that could come with it.
