‘Power’ season 3, episode 6 preview: How do Ghost, Tommy move forward?
Tonight on “Power,” the series presented the most devastating moment of the season to date following Tommy’s actions. Is there a way for him to move forward in one piece? (We should note that there are obvious spoilers the rest of the way in this article.)
Following the death of Holly, obviously the Tommy character is reeling. He’s trying to figure out where to go moving forward, who he trusts, and what needs to be done. Therefore, it makes sense for him to go completely all-in on Ghost again. Given that he would kill his own girlfriend out of rage for what she claimed to do, you cannot be surprised.
The primary order of business for these two now is killing Lobos, which will prove to be no easy task given his John Doe situation coupled with the fact that he is behind bars for the vast majority of his day. This will take careful planning and manipulation to have happened. Not only that, but it could take going behind Angela’s back. Every time you think she and Ghost are closer to trusting each other, another shoe drops that forces them further apart. Eventually, you have to wonder when these two could come at a breaking point.
One other sideplot to watch here is the potential descent of Ghost’s son Tariq into darkness, and what this could mean for him. We’ve already seen him take Angela’s gun, and following the attack tonight Ghost took him home without explanation. Sooner or later, this sense of prevailing danger and paranoia could make matters even worse for him.
