‘Big Brother 18’ live feed spoilers: Victor decimates Paulie
There aren’t many occasions in “Big Brother” in recent years where the physically-strong and commanding male houseguest becomes an audience favorite. Really, we’d argue that Frank back in season 14 was the last one before this season came around, since we certainly did not see most of the fandom rooting for the likes of Jeremy, Beast Mode Cowboy 1.0, or Austin during their recent runs.
However, this season Victor is becoming a beloved figure in the house, or at least for a single week because of the way that he is handling Paulie in the game. This morning, he effectively destroyed him in a lengthy conversation where the latter tried to plead his case to go up against someone other than Corey.
What Paulie claimed he wanted to have was a fighting chance where he could campaign against someone under his friend, but this much sneakier than that. He knew that if he was up against someone like Michelle, he’d have the votes of Corey / Nicole and would only need one more. Through all of the whining that Paulie is doing, we do think a certain part of this is strategy to make people feel sorry for him so that he has a chance of staying alive.
Luckily, Victor’s not hearing it. He told Paulie that he had multiple chances throughout the game and even had a shot at winning the game; he then got even angrier when Paulie claimed it was a “crapshoot” and anyone could have won it. (Victor argued in turn that there was strategy.) He reminded Paulie that he didn’t get to play in the Veto the week that he went home.
As for Paulie continuing to claim that he’ll go home over staying in jury, if that’s strategy it’s terrible. It makes him look like a tool who doesn’t respect the game to the point where he’ll take his ball and go home rather than take part in the process. His vote is valuable in the way that every other juror’s is.
Yes, there is still that chance that he has that Round-Trip Ticket, but we won’t know that until later this coming week.
