‘The X Factor’ UK: Sharon Osbourne preaches experience in new comments
The new season of “The X Factor” is coming your way now in a matter of weeks, and one of the much-hyped additions to the series this time around is none other than Sharon Osbourne. As a manager and reality TV judge, she’s been around this industry forever, and she brings a lot of that experience to the proceedings. What we also appreciate about her is her awareness that you cannot just have a great voice and expect to be a star. Personality also plays a role, as does how you move about the stage.
Sharon has spoken out about this coming season in a new interview with The Sun, and while some see the following comments as shade towards Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora, we view them more as her simply pointing out what she has to offer people who take part in this competition:
“If I was a contestant and there was a young girl or guy on the panel, who’s had success but not long success because they are so young, and they were telling me what I should and shouldn’t do, I would tell THEM what to do.
“I would. I think when you are advising people on their career, it always comes better from people who have had experience through age and who have had a long career themselves.”
The truth here is that above all else, success on “The X Factor” is defined by what you do after the show. It’s for that reason that we wish Sharon or some of the other judges could be more involved in contestants’ careers down the line. Typically, Simon Cowell is the only one who is because of ownership.
