‘Chicago Med’ season 2 promo hypes up move to Thursdays

When “Chicago Med” does return to NBC with its second season, there are going to be some elements of it that are different than what we’ve seen before. One of the biggest ones will be the timeslot. After airing most of season 1 following “The Voice,” the network is now separating the show from “Chicago Fire” and moving it to Thursday nights. This is an ambitious move, but possibly a smart one given that there are some viewers on the night that are ripe for the taking.

Also, you gotta make room for “Chicago Justice” to appear somewhere on the schedule! We’re now sure how NBC will structure the premiere of that show, but we would think you would try and take advantage of one of the other Chicago series as a lead-in come midseason.

If you are looking for some more scoop on Dr. Halstead, Dr. Manning, or any other character in the latest promo below, you’re going to be relatively disappointed. Instead, this promo is a little more of a highlight reel, and a reminder of some of the show’s themes: While there may be some drama that exists between the various members of the team at Chicago Med, at the end of the day they are all there with the unified goal of trying to save lives. They have heroism as a top priority, and they will do what they can to make the right decisions.

Unfortunately, sometimes there are other elements that get in the way, and they just have to tackle some of those problems as they come up.
