MTV’s ‘Scream’ season 2 finale video: Will Eli’s past come to light?

As we get closer and closer to the “Scream” finale on Tuesday night, there are certainly more and more questions starting to rise. For now, one of the biggest ones has to be just how Eli is tied into all of this. Is he the killer, an accomplice, or just a really creepy guy? Hopefully by the end of the finale, we’ll know one way or another.

The sneak peek below contains one particularly heated confrontation between Eli and his cousin Kieran, one in which the latter accuses him of being “obsessed” with Emma, and also wonders why he didn’t let him know last year when he was in town. It’s certainly a worthwhile question, but one that Eli does not seem altogether eager to answer. He seems a little bit more inclined to just continue to do his own thing without much regard for what Kieran is saying.

At this point, we do certainly think that Eli is up to something — but it feels much too convenient to sit here and say that he is the killer. We like to think that the show is smart enough to know what the viewer expectations are for some of these characters, and they are 100% prepared to flip those around and make us feel silly for even thinking that this could be a possibility.

One way or another, we just hope there is some closure in the finale given that we’re not altogether optimistic about season 3 right now. We want it to happen, but fans really need to rally together and watch the finale live. Any sort of ratings bump helps!
