‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2 spoilers: Meet Obsidian!

The full list of heroes for the Justice Society of America is starting to come together for “Legends of Tomorrow” season 2, and it is pretty darn easy to be excited about it.

Recently, we reported that Sarah Grey and Nick Zano were on board to play the parts of Stargirl and Commander Steel, and we’ve also now learned, courtesy of the TCA Summer Press Tour, that Lance Henriksen, arguably one of the best character actors in the business (though his most notable credit is “Millennium”), will be stepping onto the show in the role of Obsidian. This character possesses a variety of interesting powers in the comics, whether it be telekinesis or the super-terrifying ability to allow someone to see the dark side of their own soul. From there, some of these said people are prone to be driven to insanity.

Personally, we’ll take as many characters on this or any other DC show on The CW as possible with some sort of shadow or dark powers, mostly since it helps to mix things up given that there are plenty of the old-fashion super-optimistic heroes that are out there already. Also, we’re still leading the cause for Zatanna to be making an appearance on one of these shows at some point, and we have no clue whatsoever what the plans are for this character.

The next order of business for “Legends of Tomorrow” is to give us, whenever possible, a quick look at much of the JSA. We’re also still wondering if this is the right spot to include Jay Garrick, given his role with the group in the comics.
