‘Dancing with the Stars’ season 23 poster features Artem Chigvintsev, Sharna Burgess

Season 23 of “Dancing with the Stars” may not have a cast or a confirmed list of judges just yet, but there is one thing that it definitely does not have for certain: A new promotional poster!

If you look below (via People Magazine), you can take a glimpse at what is certainly a bright and colorful bit of promo art featuring Sharna Burgess and Artem Chigvintsev. ABC rarely changes the content of these posters for upcoming seasons, so it’s hard to say that there really is anything that they could or should have done differently, all things considered. This is precisely what should have expected given where we are right now in the process.

As for whether or not this means we will be getting Sharna and Artem on the series moving forward, the short answer is “probably.” Witney Carson and Keo Motsepe were on the poster last season, and they were both a part of it. Meanwhile, the plan certainly was for Artem to be on last year, but a last-minute change in the cast left him out. Meanwhile, Peta Murgatroyd, who was also on the poster last fall, suffered a last-minute injury. Typically, ABC doesn’t want to promote pro dancers only for them to not actually be on the season. It’s hardly what we would call a good way to promote your brand.

Hopefully, by the end of the month we’ll get a chance to learn who is a part of the new cast, given that this season is going to premiere come Monday, September 19.
