Is ‘Major Crimes’ season 5, episode 8 new tonight on TNT? The journey ahead
The Olympic Games are certainly making their impact on a fairly grand scale in terms of primetime viewership, and the same goes for the shows that are going to attempt to rival them on the schedule.
While we may not like the decision by TNT to not air a new episode of “Major Crimes” tonight, we probably do contend that it is the right move. After all, they want to maximize viewership, and that is something that is going to be incredibly hard to do when you are airing against a fairly immovable ratings force.
“Major Crimes” is going to return with new episodes to TNT starting next week, and there are still a few more stories to come over the remainder of the summer. Through these, we expect to see more information regarding some long-simmering stories, whether it be Buzz’s investigation or Rusty’s conflict with his biological mother. While there is no confirmation that anything will be wrapped up on either occasion, these stories are far from over. Of course, they will also be paired with a few other plotlines that are more of the case-of-the-week variety.
In total, there are going to be 21 episodes airing over the course of season 5, so following up the run this summer, expect to see some further stories told in either the fall or the winter. Of course, at this point it is a little too early to specualte as to what these said stories will be.
