‘Longmire’ season 5 and the great trailer anticipation

At this particular point in times, we’re certainly starting to jones for some “Longmire” news! Can you really blame us based on the timing of it all!

It wasn’t too long ago when Netflix had its panel discussion at the TCA Summer Press Tour, but there wasn’t too much said about the show there. Given that it’s no longer the new kid on the block, we get that.

However, it would be great to start to see some footage coming out for the show, especially given the news announced earlier this morning that the trailer for “Luke Cage” is coming tomorrow, even though it is premiering on September 30, one week after “Longmire” hits the streaming service on September 23.

Now, there is no rhyme or reason to when Netflix often releases these things. Last year, for example, they didn’t release the official trailer until August 31, less than two weeks before the show premiered. However, at that time there was also more we were hearing about the show over the course of the summer, and you did have a teaser before that.

When the show does return, we know that there is a huge cliffhanger to resolve regarding whoever busted into Walt’s house while he was with Donna Sue. The possibilities are not necessarily endless,but at the same time it’s been rather established that there are scores of people who may have an ax to grind against both of them. One of the challenges of a trailer could be teasing the season without giving away something so integral to the premiere.
