‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7 spoilers: Some of the stories ahead in ‘Stiffed’

The seventh season of “Rizzoli & Isles” is going to be off of the air this week on TNT, presumably for the reason that they don’t want to go up against the first Monday of the Summer Olympics. Can you really blame them? Given that the Opening Ceremonies drew more or less 27 million viewers, that is basically a vacuum, and a rather difficult one to compete against.

As for what we can expect to see when the show does return to the air, there are going to be a series of stories that resolve some loose threads, establish some further mythology, and help to make it clear precisely what the endgame for some of these characters is going to be. On the upcoming August 22 episode entitled “Stiffed,” we’re going to get an example of some of that. When the show returns on August 15, Jane Rizzoli is going to get some big news that could cause her to re-think her future. Meanwhile, for “Stiffed” she (according to SpoilerTV) will help to relay that news further!

As for a few other details as to what you can expect…

1. The main case of this episode is going to be dealing with the death of a mortician, whose body is found in one of the caskets at the funeral home. Basically, it feels as though this is going to be one of the creepier cases we’ve had a chance to see.

2. Tommy is going to have a chance to spend time with his son TJ. That’s not the biggest tease ever, but it’s what we got for now.
