With the Power of Veto Competition coming up a little bit later in the day on “Big Brother 18,” players were chosen relatively bright and early for this group. With that being said, it’s hard to be altogether excited about any of them.
Joining Head of Household Victor and nominees Michelle and Zakiyah are Nicole, Paulie, and James. If this is a more physical competition, it’s not great that Paulie and James are both taking part in this. We’re sure that the latter won’t use it out of fear that Natalie could be a replacement nominee, and we figure that Nicole won’t even really try to win it. Paulie may have to pretend to make an effort because of Zakiyah, which would in turn lead to Victor having to stick Natalie on the block. If he did that, he would know she probably wouldn’t be going home because of James’ power.
We wish we could say that we have some faith in Michelle winning it, but we really don’t given that she already seems as though she’s given up for the week. Michelle also seems more interested in being sorry for herself, which she has done by claiming that her biggest problem this season is not being in a showmance. Not exactly, given that season 13 was the last time someone who was a part of a showmance won. Her issue is that she didn’t make more alliances beyond just a select group; not all of them had to be romantic.
Still, for drama’s sake we’re rooting for Michelle to win and then her trying to make a big move to blow up the house.
