‘Chicago PD’ season 4: What should happen
The third season of “Chicago PD” was one that really brought almost everything to the table. In some ways, there was almost every genre of television show crammed in here given that we saw romance, drama, action, and even a little bit of humor. Unfortunately, we also saw a lot of tragedy, and some characters end up at the end of season 3 in a broken and bad way. Specifically, we’re talking about Voight not only losing his son Justin, but doing some rather shocking things as a result.
Will season 4 continue to run the gamut across all forms of entertainment, and match the overall intensity of the one more? That’s something that we’re interested in looking at starting with just the season premiere.
Where we left off – Not only did Voight kill the man he believes to be responsible for Justin’s death, but he buried him. Lindsay tried to encourage him to stop, but that didn’t happen and could put a strain on their relationship. Meanwhile, Burgess in particular is reeling following Roman’s departure, and an emotional season that included the events of “Chicago Justice,”
What should happen – When the show picks back up, the writers are of course not going to be able to waste much time with Voight. They have to figure out a way to show the aftermath of what happened, and if his relationship with Lindsay will change. We also would like to see Burgess appreciating single life after a season of relationships, Halstead helping Lindsay deal with whatever emotional aftermath the Voight saga has caused, and maybe even a good story for a supporting character like Olinsky. We’re fine if there is not an epic case in the premiere, mostly because there is so much good character stuff to address after the hiatus.
