‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 3 scores ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘NYPD Blue’ alumni
The third season of “How to Get Away with Murder” is getting set for an epic premiere a little bit later this year, and while this show is notoriously secretive regarding plot points, we’re happy to at least tell you too notable names who are going to be a part of it. (These were first reported by TVLine.)
Esai Morales – The “NYPD Blue” alum and former “Criminal Minds” key player will be one of them, and what we do like about Morales here is that he is the sort of guy who we could see operating on either side of the spectrum.
Amy Madigan – It’s a Shondaland reunion! As you may know, Madigan has played Meredith’s psychiatrist in the past on “Grey’s Anatomy” — just take that as further evidence that this is not a production house where every show is set in the same world. (We’re not getting any four-part crossover a la something with Dick Wolf on NBC / whatever Greg Berlanti would like to do over on The CW.)
For those relatively new to reading about Shondaland castings, it’s not exactly a surprise that the producers are not releasing any details on the characters, or even the extent of their runs. They adopt the strategy of trying to surprise, and committing to that for as long as they possibly can. Usually, we do find it effective, so here’s to hoping that it stays that way here.
