Well, this happened earlier in the “Big Brother” house than expected! Not only are the results of America’s Care Package in, but we now have a pretty clear understanding as to how things are going to work. The person with the power will be able to nullify two votes for eviction, and will make this said announcement during the eviction show when Julie Chen prompts for it to happen.
Ultimately, the person with this twist is … James! No real shock there, given that he is one of the most-popular people in the house. He also got some other random stuff like socks and cookies, similar to what Natalie got in her package last week.
What we do wonder about here is whether or not the majority of voters even realized what they were voting for, or the specific rules associated with the care package at all given that more than likely, James will have no use for this, and would have been better suited for something down the road. He’s not going on the block; more than likely, Michelle and Zakiyah will be there, and he won’t care who leaves. This power could end up even hurting him given that A) it’s a reminder of his popularity and B) whoever he negates will probably feel neglected in some way unless he really does work with them beforehand.
The only way we see this being useful is on the off chance that someone wins Veto and Natalie ends up being replacement nominee. Given that Nicole seems to be the only person who really wants her gone, she’d have to put in serious work now to get enough people to negate James’ advantage.
