‘Masters of Sex’ season 4 spoilers: Broadways actress in as former Bill Masters love

Even though we are going to continue to jump forward in time on Showtime’s “Masters of Sex,” at least one part of the upcoming fourth season will focus more on the past.

According to a new report coming in right now via TVLine, Tony-winning Broadway star Kelli O’Hara is going to play a part in the show for multiple episodes as Dody, a woman who Bill knows from his past as some sort of long-lost love interest. As for how she factors into the larger story of the season, that remains unclear, but this is a show that has a certain time-travel element to it even without science fiction being involved. What we mean by that mostly is that the past has this uncanny way of creeping in and being involved with various storylines, and it is certainly an interesting phenomenon to behold.

The show is currently filming and gearing up for its fourth-season premiere, one that hopefully is going to do a great job reminding viewers of some of the great stuff that it was doing before. Remember that at one point, this was one of the most critically-acclaimed series on TV. The third season contained several missteps, but one of the best things that it still has going for it is the presence of stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan. So long as you have them as Masters and Johnson, you have to feel pretty good about its long-term viability.
