‘The Flash’ season 3 spoilers: Flashpoint will have an end date this season

FlashMaybe this news is a little obvious to some out there, but we are nonetheless rather glad to have the verification: Flashpoint is not going to be a permanent or semi-permanent thing in the world of “The Flash.” There will eventually be an end to it, and then we will progress onward to some other things.

However, what may be more important than just Flashpoint itself is what it leads into moving forward through the rest of the season. While at Comic-Con star Grant Gustin addressed this subject in an IMDb chat with Kevin Smith, and made the following clear when it comes to some of the aftereffects that we could see come out of what took place on the story this season:

“I think we can state Flashpoint does not last all season long. But there are permanent ramifications.”

In some ways, this is in line with what we expected. It was hard to realistically envision that Flashpoint could last longer than just a few episodes, given that you don’t want to completely upset the apple cart when it comes to everything else that is going on within the DC – CW universe. Yet, you want to feel that the twist matters. Who knows? Maybe one of the main villains from this season could be born out of this; we still like to think that Tom Felton is involved here, given for the most part that his character has been kept so under wraps, but it has to be a pretty darn cool role for him to get involved in the first place.
