‘Big Brother 18’ live feed spoilers: Booze, Zakiyah, Paulie, and antics

Someone cue up the Bon Jovi music: We’re halfway there. Whoa! Livin’ on a prayer!

Okay, enough song-quoting. We’re mostly referencing here that the “Big Brother 18” halfway party took place this afternoon / evening, which is one of the few chances that the players have to relax off feeds and turn the game off briefly. Maybe not all of them do, but they really should since you don’t want to be the resident party-pooper.

Anyway, we wish that this led to something, anything that was interesting to discuss from a strategy standpoint, but it didn’t. Instead, what we really got here was one of the more uncomfortable series of events we’ve had a chance to witness. Paul got extremely drunk and was largely useless on the night, Victor apparently started to really annoy Corey, and the rest of it was just watching showmances get incredibly announcing and embarrassing.

For Zakiyah and Paulie, much of our frustration came out of her saying that she wanted to be strong with the women, and wanting to be away from him mere days ago, only to (seriously) lick his shirtless back overnight and do anything for his attention. Paulie’s being a total heel to her, and we wish someone could see it. Instead, there are plenty of people enabling it.

Meanwhile, Nicole has completely about the lack of attention Corey is giving her, and some of the insecurity she feels about him being so good-looking. When Michelle, who has a pretty bad social game, is starting be the social voice of reason, there’s trouble.

Sadly, most of the booze has rendered campaign talk almost silent, and Da’Vonne still looks to be going home. (Insert tears here.)
